Game 1 of the 2020 MLB World Series is Live from Arlington, TX in the home of the Texas Rangers as the American League Champions Tampa Bay Rays face off against the National League Champions the Los Angeles Dodgers.

We are all watching a future hall of fame pitcher, 3 time Cy Young award winner in Clayton Kershaw pitch in his 3rd World Series as he is looking to finally winning his first championship. This past decade has been an amazing time for Clayton Kershaw as he been the best pitcher in baseball for at least the first 7 years of this decade and people can argue that he has not been the same in the past three seasons.

The game was moving slowly until the hero from Game 7 of the NLCS came up to bat with a runner on in the fourth inning and hits another monster home run to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead in Game 1 of the World Series. It was an early spark for Clayton Kershaw as he can be a little more comfortable on the mound but not until Kiermair of the Rays hits a solo home run in the top of the fifth with two outs and puts a run on the board for the Rays.

The Dodgers bats woke up in the bottom of the fifth with Mookie Betts and Seager taking two walks then singles by Will Smith, Chris Taylor and Kike Hernandez brings in multiple runs for the Dodgers as they take the game over in the fifth inning.

Dodgers right fielder Mookie Betts leads off the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run to give the Dodgers a 7-1 lead. Moments later Justin Turner and Max Muncy hit back to back doubles as they add another run and now lead 8-1. The Rays have now made 3 pitching changes as they can’t find the right man to stop this offense in this game.

Dodgers bring in Dylan Floro in relief for Clayton Kershaw as he gave up a hit and a double with one out and Dave Roberts pulled him early in the inning as he got in some trouble and decides to bring in Victor Gonzalez who has been great for the Dodgers in the playoffs.

The Rays put up two more runs late in the game and it wasn’t enough to hold up the Dodgers as they end up closing Game 1 of the 2020 World Series 8-3 behind Clayton Kershaw’s six strong innings and striking out eight and only allowing one earned run which came by a mistake on a solo home run. The Dodgers offense looked amazing as they seem ready to bring the World Series trophy back to Los Angeles since 1988.

Game 2 of the 2020 World Series between the Rays and Dodgers, Can the Dodgers take a commanding 2-0 lead or do the Rays bounce back strong to tie up the series, it continues Wednesday 8ET/5PT on FOX.
