2020 NLCS: Dodgers force a Game 7 against the Braves

October 17, 2020

The Dodgers give the ball to the young kid Walker Buehler in Game 6 of the NLCS as they try and avoid elimination here in the playoffs.

Dodgers SS Corey Seager has been on fire in the NLCS as he hits another home run and right behind him was Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner with a back to back home run to take a 2-0 lead. Muncy then walked and Will Smith singles then the struggling MVP Cody Bellinger comes up with an RBI single to give the dodgers a 3-0 lead after the first inning.

Buehler began to get in trouble early in the second inning as he loaded the bases by giving up three straight singles then strikes out two in a row then gets the rookie Pache to ground out as Walker gets out of trouble. Buehler was throwing lots of 100mph fastballs and the Braves batters couldn’t hit them. He has thrown 34 pitches in two innings.

Game 7 is schedule for Sunday evening as this series has been pretty interesting watching two great teams fight a great battle as the pressure builds heading into a Game 7 with winner advancing to the 2020 MLB World Series.

Both teams have been battling through this game as the Dodgers have maintain full control of this game starting with the offense of this very expensive team but at the same time we have to credit Walker Buehler for the great start here in this elimination game.

Going into the 9th inning with the Braves only have 3 out to go, the Dodgers bring in Kenley Jansen to try and close the game out. Big questionable move by Roberts bringing Jansen in this game with his recent struggles as he clearly looked like a different pitcher on the mound, more confidence in his delivery and pitch selection which allowed him to pick up the save here in Game 6 and we will see you Sunday evening for Game 7 of the NLCS.

The big question of the night is going to be: Who will be the starting pitchers for Game 7?
