As the series is tied 1-1, both teams came out playing with chip on they’re shoulder and especially Clippers F Paul George after posting an interesting post on Instagram on Wednesday.

I am going to go on the record now and saying I’m buying all the stocks on Dallas F Luka Doncic, this kid is just amazing at age 20. He is making shots that others don’t make until they’re 5 plus years in the league and not just a shot but also making the right plays on the court with the amazing vision he has.
In the middle of the second quarter Kawhi is leading the Clippers in scoring with 14 points and 5 rebounds with 4:50 remaining in the first half. As we talk about Paul George and posting his feelings online after getting criticize on his play over the last two playoff games for the clippers, there’s a reason why and it’s because he’s not playing up to his potential. He’s shooting 28.6 from three and 35.9 from the field. Give major credit to Dallas defense on guarding Paul George. He’s currently shooting 2-10 from the field and 1-5 from three with 9 total points.

The 3rd quarter began with the Clippers coming out punching first and when on to take the biggest lead of the game so far with 15 in the middle of the 3rd quarter behind Kawhi Leonard’s 21 points 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the 3rd quarter. Clippers F Paul George continues to struggle shooting 2-13 from the field and 1-6 from three but thanks to the amazing play of Kawhi Leonard, Paul’s bad performance won’t be highlighted but I will highlighted for you. Clippers F Marcus Morris stepped it up by shooting 4-5 from three which allowed the Clippers to take a commanding lead late in the 3rd quarter after Dallas F Luka Doncic twisted his ankle while guarding Kawhi Leonard in the 3rd.
Kristaps Porzingis has been playing remarkable shooting 8-13 from the field and 3-6 from three with a combined of 22 points late in the 3rd. Luka has not been himself in the 2nd half shooting 4-14 and 1-6 from three which is not what we expect from him but let’s also give him credit for playing defense and getting his teammates involved putting up 9 rebounds and 9 assists thus far. Mavs G Seth Curry has been helping out off the bench for Dallas with 19 points and 3-3 from three and 8-9 from the field. As Luka is coming off the court with 9 mins remaining in the 4th quarter after having more discomfort in his ankle after twisting late in the 3rd and is now out for the game.
Luka Doncic is out of the game and after giving it a shot, appears to not be able to continue. He checked himself out, covered his face in his hands and went back to the locker room. Tough to see, but gutsy to give it a try. Hopefully he'll be okay for Game 4.

During the 4th quarter with Luka out, the Mavs when on a 12-5 run to climb back in the game and only down 8 with 6 mins remaining in the game. Kawhi Leonard has been the key player for the Clippers with 34 points thus far with 4:17 left in the game while having a 12 point lead. Dallas F Kristaps Porzingis has been trying to keep them in the game with his 31 points and 12 rebounds while Tim Hardaway Jr was another Key player shooting the ball well adding 20 points off the bench. Seth Curry continues to make plays for his team adding 22 points off the bench and shooting 4-4 from three. Paul George finishes the game shooting an awful 3-16 from the field with only 11 points.
Clippers C Ivica Zubac was big for the Clippers tonight playing 31 minutes with his 15 points and 6 rebounds as the Clippers win Game 3 and take a 2-1 lead in the First Round of the Western Conference. Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday August 23rd at 3:30ET/12:30PT on ABC.
