Rheina Tapunia Ale – an entertainment and sports host based out of Los Angeles, California. Her love for hosting started while attending the University of San Francisco, where she received her BA in Communications Studies. Rheina received a basketball scholarship to play for the Dons, and was the point guard & leading scorer for the squad. She worked closely with the Dons media broadcaster, George Devine, and conducted halftime interviews with her teammates and coaches throughout her season. Once her basketball career was over, she moved back home to Los Angeles to actively pursue a career in broadcast.
Rheina started her career as a freelance reporter for various outlets in Southern California. She was featured on “The SportsDesk” (City of Torrance CITICable) where she covered sports for her alma mater, Bishop Montgomery High School and worked with Cal State University, Northridge as a color commentator for the Women’s Basketball team alongside Ghizal Hassan. Rheina is currently a host and producer for AfterbuzzTV & Blackhollywoodlive.com, executively produced by Maria Menounos and Keven Undergaro. Along with Afterbuzz & BlackHollywoodlive.com, Rheina’s worked with a number of media outlets around the Los Angeles area, including Hoopjab & Project Pit Entertainment.
