Whether you root for UofA or ASU, you know that the Territorial Cup is THE game of the year.
Whichever school wins the Territorial Cup between the Arizona Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils get’s bragging rights basically for an entire year. On top of that, fans get to rub it into ASU fans and feel good knowing that their team won!
The game may not always be the best for some people, but it’s really just for the love of the game. If you’re a Wildcats fan, however, this game was just that much better. Just a little bit into the game, UofA scores a touchdown to take an early 7-0 lead. ASU later scored a touchdown of their own to tie the game at 7 (bummer, I know), which that would remain the score into the second quarter.
From the 2nd quarter all throughout the conclusion of the “Duel in the Desert,” the University of Arizona Wildcats outscored the Arizona State Sun Devils 49-28 to win with a final score of 56 to 35!
And the Arizona Wildcats won the Territorial Cup! BEARDOWN!
THE TERRITORIAL CUP IS BACK IN TUCSON!
