Drew League star Franklin Session has had a whirlwind of a year so far and now hes taking on the G League.
saw his first playing time in the G League about halfway into the third quarter in the South Bay Lakers exhibition matchup against the Northern Arizona Suns.
Session is a Drew legend who won back-to-back MVPs in the Pro-Am league and led his team, Birdies Revenge, to a 16-0 season in route to a title and a Finals MVP.
Sunday night for South Bay Session played 18 minutes and ended the game with 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 turnovers.
The Drew League vet scored the second-most points for the S.B. Lakers that were highlighted by a crossover into a one-handed slam and an open court steal turned layup.
Session even made an impact on defense in a series where he forced two consecutive turnovers for the N.A. Suns by drawing back-to-back charges.
In The Front Row interviewed Session after the game and he said he enjoyed his G League debut and the support from his teammates who told him To put my head down and just play.
Next up for Session and the South Bay Lakers is a road game against the Santa Cruz Warriors to officially tip off the season.
