The LA Chargers are entering week 5 as one of the best teams in the NFL after they took down the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football and are exiting week 5 as the top team in the NFL.
Cleveland came in here running the ball and destroying the Chargers rush defense as they allowed 10 points in the first half against one of the worst rush offense in the league.
Watching Justin Herbert in this game reminds me of watching Clayton Kershaw when he was coming up with the Dodgers. Kershaw was drafted with not much high hopes but once he got on the field, he showed his excellence on the mound, which is the same that Justin is showing right now.
Justin Herbert is in the discussion for NFL MVP as he leads his team in the hunt for the AFC West division. They beat the Chiefs and Raiders in the first few weeks, which is a big hit for the division leaders.
The Browns looked good running the ball as they got away with a few passes that allowed them to stay in the game. The browns went for it on 4th down twice and converted late in the first half and they scored another touchdown with 0:54 seconds in the first half. The defense for the Chargers has not been up for the Browns offense which is a key point in this game.
During the second half, both team continued playing hard until the Chargers defense was able to get a stop which allowed the Chargers to score another touchdown with a run by Justin Herbert as they still trailed by 27-21 towards the end of the third quarter. The way Herbert looked after the first half was totally different from the first half but that’s what showed you the difference from the head coaches in today’s game.
@chargers head coach got the BIGGEST balls in the league!!! And he goes for Two!!!!!! #Chargers trail 27-21 with 6:25 left in the 3rd #TheFredoReport #BoltUp @InTheFrontRowLA

Cleveland had lots of fans supporting them today at SoFi Stadium with the Chargers but couldn’t keep the momentum after the first half they had. Multiple turnovers which gave the Chargers the ball with 12:51 remaining in the 4th quarter down 27-21.
The Browns came back shooting at the Chargers as they took the lead 35-28 after a great pass by Browns QB Baker Mayfield. He’s been on his game but another person who has been dealing with a lot of pressure is Head Coach of the Chargers Brandon Staley. Why? He just seems to go for it on every fourth down and completes.

Chargers scored in the middle of the fourth quarter as they tied up the game at 35 after a great pass by Herbert which allowed them to score on the Browns.
Browns responded with another quick touchdown as they took a lead 42-35 late in the fourth quarter. It gave Justin Herbert plenty of time to go down the field and win this game which is exactly what he did. They later forced the Browns to punt away as they got the ball back and had Austin Ekler run in for a touchdown.
The Chargers are a problem to be solved later as everyone is trying to put a good game plan to defeat the Chargers.
After watching the Browns and the Chargers today, I realized that the Chargers are the real deal. They will definitely be a tough team to beat moving forward especially with Head Coach Brandon Staley making the calls.
Next Sunday we will have the opportunity to see Lamar Jackson vs Justin Herbert, two of the best quarterbacks in the league right now as the Chargers travel to Baltimore for the match up.
