Kelsey’s Korner: Top 10 Killa, A Notch above the rest

TopNotchBlumm

TopNotchBlumm is a female rapper that was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Around the age of 12, Notch started putting words to paper to make songs and create poetry. Growing up in L.A, Notch was heavily influenced by Tupac. The chart-topping rapper encouraged her to start working on her own rapping skills. At just 19 years old, the hard work of Notch would soon pay off when A-list producers Mally Mall and Big U signed her to Blu Magic Music label. Mally Mall and Big U have worked with accomplished artists such as Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Meek Mill, and Rick Ross.

When collaborating with other artist, Notch has a knack for being able to fit into any song despite the style and sound of the artist. Furthermore, she is reminiscent of early 2000’s Lil Wayne. This is because of the way he would make covers of top 10 hits and make them his own. For example, Notch similarly has been known to sing the hook on covers like “Last Time That I Checc’d”, which the late Nipsey Hustle recorded topping the music charts. Also, The Zeze cover, which was originally recorded by Travis Scott, Offset, and Kodak Black, is a must listen by Notch. Lastly, Notch’s single “Prison Rose” is about a relationship and love, and proves her pen “woman” ship can’t be limited to just one subject.

You have probably been wondering what Blumm means in TopNotchBlumm. This stands for “Be Limitless Unrestricted Manifest Music.” Be on the lookout for new music from Notch as she has been in the studio manifesting new music. I believe her sound will be Unrestricted and Limitless in its delivery. Search Topnotchblumm on Spotify and YouTube to hear her current and upcoming projects!
