Kyrie Irving wants out of Cleveland

July 22, 2017

Now that Kyrie Irving wants to leave Cleveland, which of the four teams that Kyrie Irving is interested in would be a good fit?

Just when we thought the Cleveland Cavaliers summer couldn’t get any worse, Kyrie Irving decides to announce to owner Dan Gilbert that he wants out of Cleveland. The second best team in the NBA has been taking steps backward this summer. First, it was the releasing of General Manager David Griffin. Then the Cavaliers were not able to sign a marquee free agent, and now Kyrie Irving is saying he wants out of Cleveland.  In the Last three years, Cleveland has made it to the finals three times and has a record of 1-2 in those three finals appearances.

Most players in the NBA dream of making it to the NBA finals at least once in their career and Kyrie Irving has been three times at the age of only 25 while playing alongside the best player in the NBA LeBron James. Sure Kyrie Irving could continue to go to the NBA finals playing with LeBron, but it seems like Irving wants to do his own thing now. When the news was announced that Kyrie Irving wants out of Cleveland because he wants a bigger role it all made sense to me. When LeBron first got to Cleveland there was news about LeBron and Kyrie not being able to get along because Kyrie Irving did not agree with playing second fiddle to LeBron James. But I think Kyrie Irving swallowed his pride because he wanted to win a championship, and he knew in order for the Cavaliers to do so he would have to play a certain role.

Well now Kyrie knows how it feels to win a championship, so now he wants his own team just like he’s been wanting all along. There are four teams as of now that Kyrie Irving wants to be a part of. Those four teams are the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the San Antonio Spurs. Since Kyrie Irving is looking to be the center piece of a team, I think the best destination for Cleveland’s point guard is the Miami Heat. There is no question that if Kyrie Irving goes to the Miami Heat he will be the center piece of that organization. The Miami Heat is a first class organization with good enough players to help Irving remain in the playoffs, and if anyone can get more players to join Irving if needed

I’m interested in seeing what the Cavaliers will do with their star point guard.
