The Los Angeles Rams begin their preseason at home against the Dallas Cowboys but first they hosted a charity luncheon for the community to kick things off.
Friday, the Rams hosted their to support education in the L.A. area, and as a way to start their season. Local companies and members of the community joined forces with Rams players to show support for underdeveloped cities and schools in Los Angeles.
During the luncheon the Rams organization and players were recognized for their commitment to L.A. from helping children and families in need through community improvement projects. These projects put parks in areas of the city where they are needed most, which involved over 5,000 hours of volunteer work.

After the team and other community members were acknowledged for their efforts that help make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate, an auction took place where proceeds will go toward future Rams community outreach programs and the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.
Rams COO Kevin Demoff gave remarks about the team’s charity programs of the past, present and future, and further expressed the organization’s gratefulness to once again be a part of L.A.’s culture.
Some cities affected by the Rams’ initiatives include Watts, and Inglewood, the site of the Rams’ that opens in the summer of 2020. The team’s community involvement is proof they intend to be more than just a tenant to the city of Inglewood, but a partner.
