As Game 2 got underway, The Lakers came out being aggressive by attacking the rim and guess what? They made 2 quick threes by KCP, and Anthony Davis started playing well shooting 3-4 with 7 points early in the 1st quarter. After Game 1 loss for the Lakers, they were heavily criticized by the whole world but not like Anthony Davis; he received lots of criticism for the way he played in his Playoffs debut for the Lakers.
Finally JR Smith and Dion Waiters played more than a minute and both made contributions in the 2nd quarter. Damian Lillard continued to play impressive but hasn’t really been himself, shooting 4-10 throughout the first half.
In the first quarter he put up 11 points with 5 rebounds and 2 assists, as Davis plays all 12 minutes. The Lakers have been playing every minute so far like they have something to show to the world, which is the way they should be playing every single game. They have been playing tremendous defense, only giving up 40 points in the first half to a team like the Blazers who have been on fire. The Lakers took a large lead late in the 2nd quarter with Anthony Davis doing everything in his power to push the Lakers to victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds in the first half. This is the Anthony Davis version the Lakers want and need from him throughout the playoffs.
That's not fair. A big man shouldn't be able to do that.

The Lakers continue to come out aggressive as they push their lead to 25 after a couple of threes and are now in control of this game and if they continue to play the same way they have been today, they will take this in 5 games!
Not sure what has happened to the Blazers but they are just not in this game mentally and physically and are getting run on by the Lakers. LeBron James goes to the bench for his first rest in the second half with 5 mins remaining in the 3rd quarter and Lakers up by 26 thus far which is the largest lead of the series for either team.
Give major credit to Lakers coach Frank Vogel for the adjustments he made from Game 1 loss to Game 2 blowout. Davis so far with 31 points 11 rebounds and 3 assists in the first 3 quarters. LeBron on his way to another triple double currently with 10 points 7 rebounds and 7 assists in 27 minutes. KCP shot the ball great with 5-8 from three with 16 points.

Late in the 3rd quarter Damian Lillard attempted to steal the ball from Davis and jammed his finger and went back to the locker room but seemed to be okay and made his way back to the bench. Lillard has been struggling shooting 6-14 from the field and 1-7 from three with a total of 18 points. CJ McCollum also struggling with 6-16 from the field and 1-5 from three while also adding 13 points through the 4th quarter. The Blazers came out sloppy having getting punched in the mouth early on by the Lakers as they controlled the game from the moment the game began. Lets not forget Blazers F Carmelo Anthony as he also struggled shooting 1-6 in 27 mins while only putting up 2 points. Lakers played tremendous defense and finally made shots which reminded me of the Lakers Pre-Covid 19. There was only 2 players from the Blazers with double digit points which looks very bad in the playoffs.
Lakers win they’re first playoff win since May 18, 2012 since the late Kobe Bryant was on the team. Game 3 is set for Saturday 8:30ET/5:30PT on ABC as the series is tied 1-1.
