LeBron James and the Lakers host Luka Doncic and the Mavs at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA for the second game of the NBA season here on Christmas Day. James entered this game 35 points shy of passing Kobe Bryant on the All Time Christmas Scoring list.
The Lakers are coming off a bad loss on Tuesday night against the Clippers which is not a big deal for the team said LeBron James after loss to the Clippers. The team was coming off receiving their championship ring from winning the 2020 NBA Finals over the Miami Heat last season. The Lakers had nothing to prove that night which showed in the first half of the game.

The game got off to a good start for the Lakers as it seems like Tuesday’s performance was fake news. Lakers G Dennis Schroder was magnificent on Tuesday and continued his great play here today against the Mavs by being aggressive on both sides of the ball. Adding Montrezl Harrell to the Lakers, gives the team the sixth man of the year and the runner up which is nice having in your line up. They just seemed to blend perfectly fine with each other like peanut butter and jelly.
That @KingJames fadeaway is a thing of beauty.

The Mavs are getting beat down on the boards by the Lakers as they are grabbing lots of offensive rebounds and scoring off turnovers. Mavs F Luka Doncic did not have the best but did not have the worst game either shooting 8-17 from the field and having 27points. Newly acquired Josh Richardson play well putting up 17 points in 27 minutes.
Anthony Davis was the leading scorer of the night with 28 points 8 rebounds and 5 assists in his first win for the new season. The Lakers put up 138 points against a very good team in the Dallas Mavs which is a good sign to see for the Lakers. LeBron added 22 points 10 assists and 7 rebounds and Harrell also put up 22 points 7 rebounds for the Lakers.
