LeBron James starts this game with 10 quick points in the first 5 minutes as he is also guarding the best player with the ball thus far. Lakers F Anthony Davis also comes out strong with 11 points as the Lakers lead 22-19 in the first quarter.
Rockets G Russell Westbrook and James Harden have a combined 15 points in the first quarter as they have been fighting they’re way in this game to compete with the Lakers. From watching the first 2 games of this series, I’ve come to understand that when the rockets are shooting the lights out of the three point ball, they’re just unstoppable but when they are shooting about average and below average then they can easily be beat because they depend too much on the three ball, live by the 3, die by the 3.

Starting the 2nd quarter Rockets F Robert Covington makes another 3 as they take a 36-32 lead. The Rockets during the regular season shot record of 45.3 three point attempts which is very high compared to all other 29 teams in the league. Someone who knows about shooting is Lakers G JR Smith who just entered the game for the first time in this series.
LeBron James scored 47.5 percent of the Lakers points in the first half, the highest percentage of points in the first half of a playoff game for a Lakers player over the last 25 postseasons (ELIAS). pic.twitter.com/HB5lS98dq3

The Lakers have turned over the ball 8 times so far here in the middle of the second quarter but at the same time LeBron James has confirmed he is in playoff mode as he currently is on fire thus far with 29 points on 10-14 shooting with 1:21 remaining in the first half. James Harden also added 21 points in the first half as both team have really battled in this game and it seems like it’s going down to the wired here in Game 3.
Two big blocks in a row from @KingJames at the rim, first of Gordon, then Harden. It’s 70-69 LAL with 2 AD FT’s coming out of a time out. The typical starters, plus Morris for McGee, on a 9-5 run despite that group not playing together this season.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis have a combined of 50 points early in the 3rd quarter as the Lakers lead the Rockets 72-69 with the intensity picking up in the game with James Harden adding up to 26 points and seems to have found his jump shot as he had a slow start here in Game 3. Watching the 3rd quarter winding down while being tied at 80, I’m realizing that this series has the potential to go 7 games if both teams continue to shoot the ball the way they are tonight. The Lakers have not been able to protect the paint like they had in the playoffs.
Lakers G Rajon Rondo has been key to the Lakers over the last 2 games especially being able to hit the open 3 as he gets his 2nd three of the game as forces the Rockets to call a timeout with 9:27 remaining in the 4th and Lakers lead 89-85.
The intensity was kept up by the Lakers has they take a 12 point lead in the middle of the 4th quarter as Lakers G Alex Caruso makes a 3 point shot and Rajon Rondo turns into Playoff Rondo as he adds 19 points and 8 assists and leading 101-89 with 4:37 left in the game. The Rockets scored 64 points in the first half and only 25 points in 2nd half for the Rockets through 44 minutes.
* @KingJames tonight: 36 points (29 in the 1st half), 6 boards, 5 assists, 1 steal and 4 blocks, all in the 3rd Q when LAL’s defense turned the game in their favor.

The Lakers limited James Harden to 6 field attempts in the 2nd half as he when on to score 21 points in the first half. Like I say during every game that Lakers Coach Frank Vogel is one of the best coaches in the league who knows how to adjust game plans during games and especially in the playoffs.
Congrats to @KingJames of the @Lakers on becoming the all-time leader in #NBAPlayoffs WINS! pic.twitter.com/Rz9qA8On1t
