Rams’ Cooper Kupp is becoming a standout on offense

Cooper Kupp is just a rookie but he may be a breakout star for the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams won their second preseason game against the Oakland Raiders and are now 2-0.

L.A.’s offense was clicking more in game two than in game one, but one player who was equally exciting in both games was receiver .

Some players, rookie or veteran, just have a feel for the game and that seems to be the case for Kupp. He was in the right place at the right time Week 1 and fell on a fumbled ball in the end zone. That play scored the Rams’ only touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys.

Week 1, L.A. was rusty on offense and Kupp only had two receptions for 35 yards. However, he still managed to score the team’s most important six points.

Week 2 against the Raiders, Kupp had six receptions for 70 yards including a for a touchdown.

In college, Kupp attended Eastern Washington where he hauled in 117 catches in thirteen games for 1700 yards and  17 TDs in 2016. He averaged 14.5 yards per catch and 130.8 yards per game.

Kupp was a standout at Eastern Washington and, so far, looks to be headed in that same direction as an NFL player. In a small sample size, Kupp has proven to be an unforeseen weapon for QB . If he keeps up this level of play the rest of preseason, he’s sure to earn more reps and playing time for Sean McVay and the Rams in the regular season.
