Skyler’s The Limit: Week 1 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

September 7, 2017

WRs to start in Week 1:

(vs. Chiefs): The rich get richer. The Patriots were somehow able to add another dangerous weapon for this offseason in Brandin Cooks. Cooks was huge for in New Orleans but could be even better in the Patriots offense. suffered a season ending knee injury so Cooks will most likely step into the No. 1 WR role. Although New England plays a tough Chiefs defense, I like Cooks to show out in his first game with the Pats.

(vs. Titans): Amari Cooper is among one of the most talented young WRs in the NFL. Cooper has shown he can be an elite WR he just has to be a little more consistent. I think this is the year he ascends into that elite category paired with Derek Carr who continues to progress into a franchise QB. Cooper faces a weak Titans secondary that lost their best cornerback in in the offseason.

Twitter

(vs. Eagles): Terrelle Pryor showed his true potential as a wideout last season with the Browns. Pryor showed an ability to high point the ball and make plays. That was in Cleveland with less than stellar QB play so imagine what he could do in a pass heavy offense with a capable QB in . Did I also mention Washington faces the Eagles who will have and at CB? Pryor is a nice start in Week 1.

Under the Radar WRs:

(vs. Eagles): Jamison Crowder was a pleasant surprise for fantasy owners last season where he emerged as the Redskins best option at WR. He’ll go against a shaky Eagles secondary to compliment his chemistry with Kirk Cousins.

(vs. Chiefs): Chris Hogan built a nice rapport with Tom Brady last season, and with the loss of Julian Edelman he could step into a bigger role.

WRs to sit Week 1:

(vs. Jaguars): Similar to his teammate, Lamar Miller, I’m not saying to absolutely bench Deandre Hopkins but I’d definitely look elsewhere Week 1 until we see how performs under center. Hopkins is a very talented WR but he’s yet to have a legitimate QB throw him the ball. It also doesn’t help facing a lockdown secondary of and former teammate .

(vs. Steelers): Kenny Britt has instantly become the number one WR for the Browns and I actually like his value this season. First, however, I’d want to see how performs in his rookie debut as the Browns QB–wait to play Britt if possible. The Steelers also just added former Brown , and although he’s not the same, he’s still a talented CB.
