Skyler’s the Limit: Week 11 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

November 17, 2017

We’re coming down to the wire and we’re just a few weeks away from most fantasy football league’s playoffs.

The NFL season seems to be advancing very fast and it will be fantasy playoffs before you know it. If you need help making those tough decisions this week to help propel you to a victory and put you in perfect position to make the playoffs, you’re in the right place! Let’s get right into what guys I like this week. My decisions are based on PPR (points per reception) scoring so don’t @ me unless you have any fantasy questions or a question in general then you can ask me on Twitter.

QBs to start in Week 11:

Blake Bortles (vs. Browns): I am not choosing Blake Bortles as a starter this week because I like him as a quarterback. Bortles is a below average QB but he faces the winless Browns who can make anybody look good. Bortles has actually had 16+ points in three straight weeks and I believe that continues against the Browns who allow the 7th most points to QBs. I wouldn’t fully trust Bortles so he should only be played if necessary.

Drew Brees (vs. Redskins): Drew Brees has become a forgotten QB in fantasy recently. Brees has failed to throw a touchdown in two out of the last three games. That comes from the fact that the Saints running game has been able to dominate games for them. I like Brees this week against the Redskins who give up the 10th most points to QBs and are strong against the run.

Under the Radar QBs:

Marcus Mariota (vs. Steelers): Marcus Mariota is only under the radar because of his perceived tough matchup this week. Mariota has scored 33 points in the last two weeks after the Titans bye and I believe he has a chance at 18+ this week against a Steelers defense that lost Joe Haden to injury. It may be a shootout in Pittsburgh and although people may avoid him I think he has a solid week.

Eli Manning (vs. Chiefs): Eli Manning is hard to trust but could be in for a nice week this week. Manning is coming off his 3rd best game of the season scoring 16.7 fantasy points against the 49ers in Week 10. The Chiefs allow the 6th most points to QBs this season and in a game where he will likely be forced to throw to keep up with the Chiefs he could be a nice option if you’re in need of a streaming QB.

QBs to sit in Week 11:

Matthew Stafford (vs. Bears): Matthew Stafford struggled against the Bears last season. Although it’s a different season I think there are better options at QB out there. Stafford had 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions against the Bears last year and Bears have a stronger defense this season allowing the 5th least amount of points to QBs.

Kirk Cousins (vs. Saints): Kirk Cousins has been solid just like last season in fantasy. Cousins is coming off his 2nd best game this season scoring 27.6 points in Week 11 against the Vikings. He had 2 rushing touchdowns which I’d bet money doesn’t happen again this season and this week faces a Saint defense that is allowing an average of just 10.6 points to QBs since Week 3.
