TEs to start in Week 2:
Jared Cook (vs. Jets): Yes. I’m all for starting everyone against the dumpster fire that is the Jets defense. is a nice play at tight end this week especially when it’s hard to find someone to consistently score at TE in fantasy. The Jets allowed the 6th most points to TEs in Week 1.
Cameron Brate (vs. Bears): The Buccaneers are another team where I’m open to using all of their key weapons on offense. was pretty impressive last season as the 2nd option behind . This year he has a guy like Desean Jackson to help open the field. The only knock on Brate is that O.J. Howard could take snaps away from him but look for the Buccaneers to use more than two TE sets.
Under the Radar TEs:
Hunter Henry (vs. Dolphins): didn’t have a huge week in Week 1 but the Chargers face a weak Dolphins secondary in Week 2. Henry seems to be the number one tight end but still seems to be involved as well.
Julius Thomas (vs. Chargers): On the flip side of things is facing Hunter Henry’s team. The Chargers allowed the 8th most points to opposing TEs in Week 1 so as long as can get Thomas the ball, he could see the end zone.
TEs to sit in Week 2:
Jack Doyle (vs. Cardinals): could probably be a viable option at tight end down the road but not while is injured. Doyle faces an elite secondary in the Cardinals who allowed just 2 catches for 9 yards in Week 1.
Tyler Eifert (vs. Texans): Remember when was one of the best tight ends in football? It seems so long ago. Eifert is also injury prone so that doesn’t help him either. Eifert lines up against the Texans who gave up just 1 reception for 18 yards in Week 1.
