RBs to start in Week 3:
Carlos Hyde (vs. Rams): just had a 100+ yard game against a very good Seattle defense. Hyde should be able to run the ball effectively against a Rams defense that just gave up 200+ yards to the Redskins, a team that isn’t known for running the ball. Hyde could be in for a top-five Fantasy week among RBs.
Ty Montgomery (vs. Bengals): has looked impressive to start the season. His versatility keeps him on the field and there’s no threat on the depth chart behind him so he’ll have a heavy workload on Sunday. This week he faces a terrible Bengals team so Montgomery should continue his successful start to the 2017 season.
Under the Radar RBs:
Theo Riddick (vs. Falcons): In PPR leagues should no longer be an under the radar guy but somehow he is. The Falcons defense has given up the second most points to RBs this year and struggled against receiving backs like and Ty Montgomery, so Riddick should have a nice outing this week.
Christian McCaffrey (vs. Saints): hasn’t exactly lit up the scoreboard so far, and the Panthers have struggled offensively. But Week 3 they should see a huge boost in McCaffrey’s production as they play the worst defense in football in the Saints.
RBs to sit in Week 3:
Dalvin Cook (vs. Buccaneers): has quickly taken over the Vikings backfield completely. Cook has looked impressive through two weeks but faces a surprisingly tough Buccaneers defense that allowed just 20 yards to the Bears on 16 carries in Week 2. I’d look at other options if I’m a Cook owner.
Jordan Howard (vs. Steelers): is dealing with a shoulder injury but seems likely to play this week. Howard had just seven yards rushing last week against the Bears and this week he faces a Steelers run defense that allows the 11th least points to RBs. I also think Steelers defense stacks the box and dares to beat them with his arm (he probably won’t).
