Skyler’s the Limit: Week 3 Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em

September 21, 2017

Week 3 is already upon us but don’t fret you’re in the right place for the best Fantasy advice.

We’re already through two weeks of the regular season and we’ve had a few surprises so far. Guys like  and have been disappointing with Elliott being the 16th highest scoring RB and Bell currently the 25th. is the leading RB in Fantasy like everyone expected, and there’s a huge gap between him and the second highest scoring RB. My decisions are based on PPR scoring so don’t @ me. Week 3 is set to begin so let’s take a look at who to start this week.

QBs to start in Week 3:

Cam Newton (vs. Saints): has started the season in a bit of a rut but have no fear, the Saints defense is here. QBs against the Saints defense has combined for 793 yards and 6 touchdowns in just two games. Newton should be able to feast on a terrible defense and score a couple touchdowns, unlike last week where the Panthers failed to get into the end zone. Newton is a top five QB option this week.

Alex Smith (vs. Chargers): is no longer an under the radar player this season because he’s currently the highest scoring Fantasy QB (but who knows how long he can keep this up). While he’s playing like lights out, you might as well take advantage of him–especially against weaker defenses like the Chargers. Smith has played well against the solid defenses of the Patriots and Eagles, so he could be in line for another good week.

Under the Radar QBs:

DeShone Kizer (vs. Colts): has had flashes of possibly being a good NFL starting QB. Of course, he’s going to have weeks where he struggles against good defenses, like he did last week against the Ravens, but this week he faces a terrible defense in the Colts. Kizer doesn’t have a lot of weapons but you don’t need much to put up points on Indianapolis.

Trevor Siemian (vs. Bills): Guess who the second highest scoring Fantasy QB is? If you guessed , you’d be correct. Siemian has looked very good to begin this season and faces an unproven Bills defense. Look for the Broncos elite D to set up their offense in very good scoring situations against a struggling Bills offense.

QBs to sit in Week 3:

Russell Wilson (vs. Titans): I want no parts of this Seahawks offense right now. and company have scored just one offensive TD through two games. Wilson even struggled in a game against one of the worst teams in the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers, so I don’t expect much from him in Week 3 against the Titans.

Marcus Mariota (vs. Seahawks): On the flip side of things I don’t like either. Yes he is playing at home but it’s against Seattle’s smothering defense so it’ll be a tough game for him. I expect a low scoring, field-goal-kicking game in this one; neither offense will put up a ton of points.
