We’re almost at the halfway mark of the NFL season and this is still the best place to come for fantasy advice!
The NFL season is progressing rather quickly and if you have a losing record in your fantasy league it’s not too late! Instead of moping around hoping for your team to magically get better, go check your waiver wire, do some trades, and better your team.
In Week 6 we saw another serious injury to a star player in . Rodgers broke his collarbone in his throwing shoulder Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings and will require surgery, which will likely keep him out for the rest of the year.
No need to fret if you’re a Rodgers owner, you’ve come to the right place to find his replacement. I make all my decisions based on PPR (points per reception) scoring so don’t @ me. Let’s dive straight into it.
QBs to start in Week 7:
Marcus Mariota (vs. Browns): is a nice option this week against the winless Cleveland Browns. Mariota came back from his hamstring injury which is a plus but finished with just 14.2 points against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. Mariota was definitely hampered by that injury as he ran the ball only two times for no yards. Look for Mariota to bounce back big time against a Browns team that allows the 2nd most points to opposing QBs.
Dak Prescott (vs. 49ers): has been one of the best fantasy QBs this season. Most people were skeptical to believe that Prescott could repeat his phenomenal rookie season. To say the least, he is and in a big way. In the last three weeks Prescott has accumulated 75.2 points. That makes him my favorite QB this week against the San Francisco 49ers who allow the 6th most points to QBs.
Under the Radar QBs:
Tyrod Taylor (vs. Buccaneers): is a nice streaming option this week. If you’re looking for a replacement for your QB that’s on a bye or is injured Taylor may be available in your free agency. Taylor is definitely held back by the lack of weapons around him but his running ability helps his Fantasy status. This week he faces a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that allows the 11th most points to QBs.
DeShone Kizer (vs. Titans):has seemingly be named the starting QB for the Browns again in Week 7. Kizer struggled a bit in Weeks 1-5 before being benched in Week 6. Kizer is another QB that can get you solid rushing stats and faces a less than stellar Tennessee Titans defense that allows the 5th most points to opposing QBs.
QBs to sit in Week 7:
Jameis Winston (vs. Bills): suffered a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder in Week 6. Despite the injury I believe Winston would’ve been a risky play in a road game in Buffalo. But now that he’s injured I’m avoiding him against the Buffalo Bills who allow the 2nd least amount of points to QBs.
Andy Dalton (vs. Steelers): It should be a no-brainer to sit this week. Dalton has put together a solid past three weeks where he’s totaled 57.9 points after being absolutely dreadful the first two games of the season totaling 6.5 points. Dalton also faces a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that allows the 4th least amount of points to QBs so I’m absolutely avoiding him this week.
