It’s Sunday Night Football live from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as the Chargers host the Pittsburgh Steelers in this prime time game which is a must win game for both teams.
The Chargers entered week 11 with a 5-4 record after a bad loss to the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday here at SoFi Stadium. Over the last month, we’ve seen the AFC West go up and down especially with the Raiders after all the drama they’ve faced all year long. They lost to the Cincinnati Bengals which pushed the Raiders to 5-5 in the year. The Chiefs won against the Cowboys as they are now 7-4.
During the first quarter, Chargers QB Justin Herbert was on point with his throws which allowed him to score a touchdown early in the first quarter after the Steelers got on the scoreboard with a field goal.
This was a must win for the Chargers with the Raiders losing a game in the division and the Chiefs picking up a big win against the Cowboys. I truly believe that the Chargers will make the playoffs but how far can they go?
Justin Herbert is the key for the Chargers in order to make a big splash in the playoffs in his second season in the NFL. He’s been off for the past few games but he is still spectacular when he’s on the field. One guy who is looking like a star on the field tonight is Chargers RB Austin Ekeler.
Ekeler got his 3rd touchdown early in the third quarter with a great run which put the Chargers up 24-10. Austin has been a key player for the Chargers all year long with his great running ability.
Another player who has been running the ball in this game is Justin Herbert. He’s had multiple plays where he picked up plenty of yards by running the ball in this game. He can do it with his legs and his arm as he put it on display on Sunday Night Football.
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was a game time decision after he was put on the COVID-19 reserve list earlier this week but he then tested negative twice which allowed his to be in this game. Big Ben has been himself in this game keeping his team in the hunt until the bad calls by the refs, which allowed the Steelers to only be down 7 late in the 4th quarter.
Austin Ekeler scored his 4th touchdown of the game with 8:48 remaining in the game. Chargers lead 34-20 as they have played spectacular.
It took til the final minutes to get the Steelers back in the game after a blocked punt and a touchdown. They tied the game up at 34 until the Chargers did everything they can to keep the Steelers under control.
After the Steelers came back to take the lead with under three minutes to go in the game, Justin Herbert got the ball and made a terrific play to Mike Williams as he scored the game winning touchdown to get a big win at home on Sunday Night Football.
This game came down to the wire as the Chargers took care of business with a late touchdown to take the lead 41-37. Justin Herbert became the first player in NFL history to throw for 382 yards and rushed for 90 yards.
The Chargers are now 6-4 as they head into Denver next Sunday for the first time this season. What should we expect from the Chargers heading into week 12 of the NFL season? Stay tuned this week as I will bring you some inside exclusive details on the Chargers season so far.
"He can do everything…to have Ekeler out of the backfield, you know something good is going to happen."

There is no reason why the Chargers should not win the next 2 games as they face the Broncos and the Bengals. These two teams have been up and down all year long so let’s see what happens.
