Game 7 is underway between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers as Kawhi Leonard is trying to rewrite history since 1970. Both teams came out strong as you can see the nerves on some of the players but not Nikola Jokic as he has 8 points 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the first quarter. Jamal Murray 5 points as the Nuggets go 9-for-18 from the field and 2-10 on threes.
Kawhi Leonard hit his 2nd field goal of the game until early in the 2nd quarter as he put the Clippers up by 6 with his three point shot. Clippers continued in the 2nd quarter playing great team defense as they got multiple stops in this crucial Game 7 as the winner advances to play the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
Clippers F Paul George picks up his 3rd foul in the middle of the 2nd quarter as he goes to the bench with 7 points on 3-9 from the field. During the 2nd quarter the Nuggets were not taking care of the ball as they trail in the game as much as 11 points. Nuggets G Jamal Murray has 19 points on 8-14 from the field as the Clippers are forced to call a time out with 2:43 remaining in the first half.
Halftime Stats 📊
Leonard 12 PTS / 3 AST / 1 STL
Harrell 12 PTS / 4-5 FG / 3 REB
Morris Sr. 7 PTS / 6 REB / 1 STL
George 7 PTS / 1 BLK
Beverley 6 PTS / 6 AST / 1 STL
Williams 4 PTS / 4 AST / 3 REB— LA Clippers (@LAClippers) September 16, 2020
Another player stepping up big in the first half has been Clippers F Montrezl Harrell with 12 points on 4-4 shooting and a couple of free throws. As the first half came to an end, Jamal Murray has been on fire in the 2nd quarter with 20 points and 25 points in the first half as they head to the locker room with the Clippers up 56-54.
Joker, the best player on the floor, is turning the vaunted Clippers' D into a joke.

The Nuggets come out with energy as they go back and fourth and take the lead as they force the Clippers to call time out as they are not rotating quick enough on defense. Nuggets go on a 8-0 run early in the 3rd with the Nuggets moving great without the ball as Jokic is finding his teammates. Veteran forward Paul Millsap is playing like a veteran in Game 7 as he has help his team in this game with his shooting and effort on both sides of the ball.
Kawhi Leonard is not having the best game so far towards the end of the 3rd quarter with only 14 points on 6-16 shooting here in Game 7. Nuggets C Nikola Jokic completes his triple double with 12 points 18 rebounds and 10 assists with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Clippers shooting 10-27 is the combined shooting for the Clippers duo in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George through three quarters which is terrible when your season is on the line.

Starting the 4th quarter in Game 7 the Nuggets are up 8 points and began with another miss shot by Paul George as he has been struggling so far shooting 4-12 from the field. Let’s not forget about Kawhi as he is struggling as well shooting 6-18 from the field here in Game 7.
Oh, boy, Clippers open 4th 0-for-6 from the field, now down 89-74 after a Jamal Murray 3. Time Clippers with 8:47 left in their season.
— Brad Turner (@BA_Turner) September 16, 2020
The Clippers melted down in the 4th quarter as the nuggets lead by 15 points after Jamal Murray hits a long contested three in Patrick Beverly’s face as they force the Clippers to call another time out. I said this from the beginning of the series that the Nuggets will beat the Los Angeles Clippers because I am not betting against 50 years of history. They started 0-10 from the field in the first 6 minutes of the 4th quarter which is just terrible here in Game 7 as the Nuggets lead by 13 points with 5:35 left in the game. We are witnessing the biggest meltdown in NBA history as no other team that is this good like they say they are and projected to be, are being eliminated in the 2nd round by the Denver Nuggets.
The Clippers choked again. 🤦🏾♂️ They choked against Houston in 2015 and they choked tonight against the Denver Nuggets.
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) September 16, 2020
I don’t know what else to say but just exactly what Magic Johnson said ” The Clippers choked again.”
See you Friday, Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers at 9ET/6PT on TNT.
