As Game 6 of the World Series kicks off, Rays young star Randy Arozarena is on fire this postseason and does it again by hitting a solo home run in the top of the first. It’s been incredible watching what this young kid is doing in the big leagues this early in his career.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts made the call to go with pitcher Tony Gonsolin, which wasn’t his best option available knowing that you are one win away from winning your first Championship in 32 years; all the cards should be available tonight even though you have Game 7, if needed. Gonsolin only pitched 1 2/3 innings with 4 K’s, which I believe he was pulled too early in this game, especially if this is considered a bullpen game.

Dodgers pitcher Alex Wood who hasn’t played much here in this postseason, comes in to relief Floro after coming in for one out. Wood looked very comfortable on the mound throwing 20 pitches and striking out three in two shut down innings.
Rays starting pitcher Blake Snell has been amazing on the mound tonight; the command he has tonight is impressive. Snell went 5 1/3 innings and 9K’s until Rays manager pulled him from the game for Nick Anderson as he is facing Mookie Betts with one out in the sixth. As Mookie doubles off Anderson to get men on second and third with Seager at bat and Rays pitcher throws a wild pitch and allowed Austin Barnes to score and seconds later Corey Seager ground out and Mookie took off from third and he was safe at home after the throw was too late.
The Dodgers took the lead here in Game 6 of the World Series 2-1 as they head into the seventh inning as Graterol gets pulled by Dave Roberts with two outs and decides to bring in Julio Urias with a 2-1 lead. Julio has been amazing in these playoffs with the Dodgers as he is being brought in for a moment of a lifetime.
Julio Urías joined Madison Bumgarner in 2014 as the only pitchers with 4 wins and a save in a single postseason.
Urías' 29 strikeouts this postseason are the 2nd most in a single postseason by a player born outside the United States, behind only Orlando Hernández (31 in 2000). pic.twitter.com/e2n4BDDJC0

Dodgers Star Mookie Betts has not been the player we all expected in the World Series with his struggles this week and with the Dodgers up by one late in the eighth inning as he goes deep for a solo home run to give the Dodgers a 3-1 lead late in Game 6.
Just full of emotions with the Dodgers in finally winning this years championship during a rough time with a Covid Season. The Dodgers win their first championship in 32 years since defeating the Oakland Athletics in 1988. Corey Seager wins the NLCS MVP and World Series MVP he is the eighth player to ever do that.
I am just excited for the Dodgers to finally get over the hump and beat down more teams in one postseason round compared to the old format. The Dodgers now win.
Thanks to everyone reaching out! I feel great, no symptoms at all. Just experienced every emotion you can possibly imagine. Can’t believe I couldn’t be out there to celebrate with my guys! So proud of this team & unbelievably happy for the City of LA#WorldSeriesChamps

Sad news during the game with Dodgers’ third baseman Justin Turner testing positive for Covid-19 and was instantly removed from the game and was not allowed to be with teammates to celebrate the championship but then later was allowed to come out to the field after everyone left to the clubhouse.
This is the 7th World Series championship in franchise history as this year is a historical night to remember after Covid-19 took over the world and almost shut down the season. The Dodgers then had to go through the most difficult playoffs bracket to win this championship and they exactly that.
Oh and 🗣@KingJames is the best basketball player in the world and @mookiebetts is the best baseball player in the world!!
