The Rams look to maintain their consistency against the Giants Week 9

November 2, 2017

Los Angeles Rams Head Coach, Sean McVay, says consistency is the team’s focus.

The Los Angeles Rams may be the most surprising team in the NFL this year. So far they’ve defied all expectations and are tied with the Seattle Seahawks at 5-2 in second place of the NFC West.

Week 9 the Rams are coming off a bye week and they’re set to face the imploding New York Giants who are 1-6 on the season.

The Last time these two teams met was in London, and the Giants came away with a 17-10 win over L.A. This year the Rams look to return the favor, and they have a good chance of doing so considering how different both teams are just a season later.

In a press conference on Thursday, Head Coach Sean McVay spoke about RB and consistency being the key to his success.

“It’s going to always be about the ball for us and just seeing him consistently play the way he has in the pass game and the run game, and if he can do that it’s why he’s playing as good as anybody at that position in this league right now.”

McVay may have been asked specifically about Gurley but consistency is the key for the young team to continue to produce Ws the way that they have so far in 2017.

Heading into Sunday’s matchup on the road, L.A. is a 3.5-point favorite against New York. Despite the fact that they should handle the Giants with ease, no game is won on paper.

The consistency McVay spoke about is a must for their second-year quarterback .

Goff has had a solid season overall but certainly has had a few games where he hasn’t been on point. If he can hone in and harness the week-to-week consistency McVay has seen in Gurley then the Rams have a chance to go from good to dominant.

Just at the halfway mark, the season is still young. There’s a lot of time for L.A. to improve, and there’s a lot more winning they have to do to completely turn the corner.

Consistency is their key.
