The Los Angeles Rams put on an impressive performance in Week 15 to prove they are a real Super Bowl contender.
The Rams demolished the Seahawks Sunday and all but locked up the NFC West title. Their dominating 42-7 win puts them at 10-4 on the season and drops Seattle to 8-6. Now two games ahead of the Seahawks, barring a miracle L.A. is on its way to winning the division in Head Coach Sean McVays first year.
The Rams controlled the game in all three phases from start to finish stunning Seattle and fans at CenturyLink Field. L.A. was even up 40-0 before the Seahawks mustered up a touchdown to end the third quarter. However, would burst for a 57-yard touchdown to put the Rams up 40-7 and turn an already out of reach game into an out of hand one.
The dominating victory was revenge for L.A.s early-season loss to Seattle, and it was a statement win as well. Not only has the Rams completely turned the corner as a franchise, but theyve also progressed into true championship contenders.
L.A. has steadily improved all season long on offense, defense and special teams by buying into McVays system and focusing on the good habits that the head coach preaches.
Aaron Donald swipes/swims Joeckel, but Britt pushes AD by Wilson. But AD stays in pursuit & gets the sack!

On Sunday everyone on the Rams contributed to the victory and three people, in particular, deserved game balls. The first to Gurley who is playing well enough to be in the MVP conversation. The star RB ran for 152 yards and three TDs and also caught a TD pass making Sundays rout of the Seahawks his first career four-TD game. The second game ball belongs to who is arguably the best defensive player in the league right now and had a breakout game Sunday to add to an already productive season; Donald had four total tackles and three sacks on the night.
Finally, a game ball goes to who was a monster for the Rams on special teams. Cooper notched two kickoff returns at an average of 26.0 yards and he returned 7 punts at an average of 18.3 yards.
With the playoffs around the corner L.A. is hitting their stride and returning to full health at just the right time, and they have all the weapons to make a deep playoff run. With an improved and matured young QB in having a weapon like Gurley to hand the ball to and weapons like , and to throw to, the Rams can put up enough points to compete with any team in the league.
With a defense headed by Wade Phillips and anchored by Donald, they can limit the scoring ability of even the most high-powered offenses in the NFL.
But what may set L.A. apart from other elite teams is their special teams unit spearheaded by Cooper.
The Rams play as good as anyone when it matters most, and they look like the most complete team when they bring their A game. That should equal a serious title run thats been a long time coming for the Rams organization and their fans.
