The Los Angeles Rams responded to adversity after a Week 11 loss by stopping the New Orleans Saints from winning their ninth-straight game.

Week 12 the Rams faced the Saints at home with a lot on the line. New Orleans had won eight games in a row and L.A. was coming off of a tough loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.

The Rams’ division rival Seattle Seahawks picked up a win in Week 12 putting them at 7-4 on the season. Because the Seahawks won their matchup against the Rams earlier in the year, had L.A. lost in Week 12 Seattle would have become the NFC West leaders.

But the Rams had other plans. Their defense headed by Wade Phillips stopped  and the Saints in their tracks by holding them to just 20 points.

Head Coach Sean McVay and his offense were sound enough to get the job done to by putting up 26 points seal the win for L.A.

Second-year QB  continues to shine in McVay’s offense and is showing the consistency it takes to be a successful quarterback in the NFL. Goff threw for 354 yards and 2 TDs to go along with just 1 INT.

RB  didn’t reach the end zone but amassed 128 total yards on the ground and through the air adding another highly productive game to his bounce-back year.

was ultimately the offensive player of the game for the Rams as he totaled 84 yards on just four receptions including one for a TD. Watkins also guaranteed the win for L.A. by recovering an onside kick by the Saints with under two minutes left in regulation.

The Rams continue to answer the bell and prove they are a new team. With five games left in the season, their aspirations are winning their division and making a serious playoff run.

Week 13 they go on the road to face the Arizona Cardinals and look to hold on to first place in the NFC West by walking away with a win.
