Winners and Losers from Week 2 of the NFL

September 19, 2017

WINNERS

Oakland

That’s right the entire city. Thanks to running back the city of Oakland got a sweet treat before the start of the Oakland Raiders home opener against the New York Jets.

In honor of the Raiders’ season debut at home, and Lynch’s first home game as a Raider in his return to football, Beast Mode gifted his hometown with Skittles by placing free vending machines filled with the rainbow colored candy around the bay area.

If you lived in Oakland or the surrounding area and were walking down the right street (or got wind of the news) you would have been pleasantly surprised to come across vending machines to enjoy part of Lynch’s pregame routine, his favorite candy.

On top of the free Skittles Oakland also beat New York, and when the game was out of reach Beast Mode showed his enthusiasm on the sidelines.

Between the Skittles, the Raiders’ win and Marshawn’s dancing, Oakland was the real winner of NFL Sunday Week 2.

Michael Crabtree

Speaking of the Raiders, had himself a day. The WR was targeted six times and caught six passes (that’s 100% by the way). He racked up 80 yards and three touchdowns, and if you started him on your fantasy team he got you 26 points.

Crabtree was cookin’ for the Raiders and continues to make the most out of his time in Oakland. He’s a go-to receiver for quarterback and has a chance to establish himself as an elite-level receiver if he stays healthy all year.

Kareem Hunt

After having a monstrous NFL debut, rookie running back followed it up with another big performance in Week 2.

Hunt started off a little slow in the Kansas City Chiefs’ win against the Philadelphia Eagles but picked it up by rushing for 81 yards and 2 TDs and receiving for an additional 28 yards on just 3 catches.

It’s way too soon for this but Hunt is making an early case for ROY. He’s another player who scored big in fantasy as he got his owners 22 points in Week 2.

Tom Brady

Brady is back! Well he never left but after an unusual Week 1 outing many people said he looked his age on the field. Anyone with half a brain, however, knew would bounce back and he did.

In the New England Patriots’ win against the underwhelming New Orleans Saints, Brady threw for 447 yards, 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions on 30-0f-39 passing.

His fantasy point total–a whopping 35.

Brady spread the ball around in TB fashion throwing his three TDs to three different receivers. It’s safe to say he and the Patriots are fine so we can all go back to expecting to see them in the Super Bowl (as if there was really any doubt).
