Winners and Losers from NFL Week 8

October 31, 2017

LOSERS

Brian Hoyer

In a scenario that had multiple winners there is one loser–.

Hoyer began the year as the 49ers’ starting quarterback then was benched for rookie .

Now that SF has traded for Jimmy Garoppolo the Niners have decided to release Hoyer.

Tough break for the veteran QB, but hey, the Patriots are in need of a backup now.

The Miami Dolphins

After Week 7 I was certain we’d seen all the goose eggs we were going to get this season but I was wrong. The Ravens blanked the Dolphins in a horrible Thursday Night Matchup.

That is all.

Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders just can’t catch a break, no pun intended. By that I mean they just haven’t been able to find any consistency this year on offense or on defense.

Just a week after their thrilling victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football, they lost to the Buffalo Bills 34-14 in a game where threw two interceptions.

There were serious playoff hopes for the Raiders to start the season but now they just hope to have a respectable year.

Washington Redskins

Washington is another team that had playoff aspirations heading into the season. They may not be in as deep of a whole as the Raiders but they fell to 3-4 on the season after suffering a loss in Week 8.

Even worse for Washington is that they lost to their division rivals the Dallas Cowboys who took over the second place spot in the NFC East.
