Winners and losers from Week 6 of the NFL

October 17, 2017

LOSERS

Sean Payton

The Saints head coach had on his roster and couldn’t figure out how to use him. In Peterson’s first game with the Cardinals, he rushed for 134 yards a 2 TDs.

It seems like Peterson’s struggles weren’t on the RB but on the coach and the offense he was under.

Take the L Payton.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders were on a high at the start of Week 6 due to the return of their QB .

With Carr in tow and facing a struggling Los Angeles Chargers team at home, Oakland looked to right the ship of their season.

However, the Raiders fell 17-16 to the Chargers making Week 6 their fourth-straight loss.

What’s worse is the way Carr performed. He returned to the game after suffering a fracture in his back despite only sitting out two weeks. In his debut post-injury, he threw for just 171 yards and had 2 interceptions and only 1 TD.

Oakland gambled on bringing Carr back early so they could win and they lost anyway.

Major L.

Brian Hoyer

The San Francisco 49ers are 0-6. Although their record doesn’t fall squarely on shoulders, the QB hasn’t done enough to help them win either. He hasn’t even done enough to be the 49ers starter for the rest of the season.

After five and a half games of mediocrity, San Francisco’s Head Coach Kyle Shanahan decided to bench Hoyer for the rookie they drafted in the third round, .

Beathard threw for 245 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT on 19 of 36 passing in his NFL debut. He showed enough promise that the Niners named him the starter moving forward.

That means Hoyer is now a backup, again.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers suffered by far the biggest loss of Week 6, and maybe even of the year.

suffered a broken collarbone in and could be out for the remainder of the season.

The future hall-of-fame QB already went through surgery but there is no timetable for his return.

This, after Rodgers just proved why he’s a baaad man and the most lethal QB in the game from his Week 5 heroics against the Dallas Cowboys.

Green Bay had real Super Bowl aspirations but now with backup at the helm, they’re going to be hanging on for dear life.
