Winners and Losers from Week 7 of the NFL

October 25, 2017

LOSERS

Winless teams

The Cleveland Browns and the 49ers are the last remaining teams in the NFL without a win.

The Niners have come close a couple of times this season losing both Week 4 and Week 5 by three points in OT. Week 7, however, it wasn’t even close as San Francisco got blown out by the Cowboys 40-10.

The Browns have also come close to winning in several games. In Weeks 1, 3 and 5 they lost by three points and Week 7 they lost to the Tennessee Titans 12-9 in OT.

The seasons are already over for these teams but now the questions is when are they going to get their first victory.

The New York Jets

The Jets lost to the Miami Dolphins Week 7 in comeback fashion. Dolphins QB left the game with a chest injury, and after which New York took a two-touchdown lead.

They would blow the lead, however, allowing Miami’s backup QB to erase a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Shutouts

In Week 7 there was an unprecedented amount of shutouts. The Rams shut out the Cardinals, the Jacksonville Jaguars shut out the Indianapolis Colts and the Los Angeles Chargers shut out the Denver Broncos.

Not being able to put up points even with trouble at the QB spot is just plain sad. Take an L shutout teams, take an L.

The Arizona Cardinals

Not only did the Cardinals get shut out and blown out by the Rams 33-0, they also lost Carson Palmer to a broken arm.

The veteran QB will require surgery and is expected to miss eight weeks.

Arizona was already struggling this season but with Palmer out they might as well start looking ahead to next year.
