The Pitching Staff
The Dodgers have the best pitching staff in all of baseball. They are first in ERA (3.09) and first in batting average (.223). Their ace leads the league with 15 wins and an ERA of 2.04. But being the best as a team means its not just Kershaw giving opponents a tough time at the plate.
started the season with an 11-0 record before losing his first game and is now 13-1 on the year with an ERA of only 2.33.
L.A. also has lefty in tow whos won his last six starts, and others , and are all capable of quality starts as well.
But what secured the Dodgers pitching staff was acquiring from the Texas Rangers without giving up any major prospects. In Darvishs first game with L.A., he pitched seven shutout innings and allowed only three hits in route to a 6-0 win against the New York Mets.
Adding Darvish was the best trade made by President of Baseball Operations, Andrew Friedman, in his tenure with the Dodgers. Now heading into the postseason, L.A. will have a strong one-two punch of Kershaw and Darvish that should carry them all the way to the World Series.
