Oakland Raiders vs Tennessee Titans

In a game that had the highest implied total among most betting sites, defense was the deciding factor in this battle. The Raiders were not expected to hold the Titans to just 16 points as there was much turnover on the defensive side of the ball for them in the offseason. More over, the two newcomers Oakland did expect to be there weren’t.

Gareon Conley and Obi Melifonwu did not play in Nashville, as Obi is currently on Injured Reserve and Gareon is week-to-week until we get more news.

The Raiders had quite a few additions on offense as well. Most notably–. Lynch chose to come out of retirement to play for his hometown Raiders. He’ll bring a grit to the running back position the likes the team hasn’t seen in years. If he continues making runs like this one, he’ll be greatly appreciated.

With looking like he has gotten back to his pre injury MVP form, the Raiders could be a sleeper team in the AFC this season. With the Patriots looking less than flattering in the season opener, the AFC could be up for the taking.

Final Score: Oakland Raiders 26 – Tennessee Titans 16

Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals

In a game marred by interceptions, the Baltimore Ravens pulled off a shutout of the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. This game was over from the very beginning.  proceeded to throw what seemed like interception after interception finishing the game with four of them. This was without a doubt the worst game of Dalton’s career. His final stats were a QB Rating of 0.7, 170 yards and 5 sacks taken.

It seems as if has been on proverbial hot seat ever since he began as the head coach of the Bengals, the seat got 100 times warmer with this loss. The Ravens are not expected to be a good team this season, so with this loss, many Bengals fans are in for a rude awakening if they thought their team was going to make the playoffs this year.

Final Score: Baltimore Ravens 20 – Cincinnati Bengals 0

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cleveland Browns

In one of the more shocking games of week 1, the Cleveland Browns actually hung with the Steelers. All offseason the talk of town in Cleveland was who would be the starting QB. After the final preseason game and the cutting of the $16 million dollar man in , it was clear that the Browns had decided to go young and give Deshone Kizer a chance to prove he can be the messiah that stops the constant merry go round at the quarterback position in Cleveland.

One of the most shocking players of the game would just so happen to be one of the best runners in the NFL. For some odd reason the Steelers chose not to give Bell all the carries he deserved. He finished the game with only 10 carries for 32 yards and caught 3 passes for 15 yards.

In the past week, we all saw what means for the city of Houston as he has raised over $30 million in donations after the city was ravished by Hurricane Harvey. The younger Watt brother made his debut in this one as he did something not even his older brother had done.

Final Score: Pittsburgh Steelers 21 – Cleveland Browns 18
