Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers
As the game with the highest implied total among betting sites, it is only natural that the game itself ends up being one of the lowest scoring match-ups of the week.
The Green Bay Packers outplayed the Seahawks in every facet of the game in this one, the defense held to only 158 yards passing with zero touchdowns. The biggest weakness for the Seahawks is the atrocious offensive line they have.
Seattle should still easily win the NFC West, especially now that David Johnson will be out for up to 3 months for the Arizona Cardinals. Although, if things begin to fall apart, the new and improved Rams could make a push for the division.

Indianapolis Colts vs Los Angeles Rams
Everyone has been eager to see how the 2nd year of 2016 1st overall pick would go. Goff is under a new regime led by new head coach Sean McVay & new offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur. McVay’s plan is to get Goff acquainted to his West Coast offense and it worked beautifully in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts where he threw for 306 yards with 1 touchdown (also had a completion percentage of 72.4% and a QB rating of 117.9). seemed to build a nice chemistry with Goff as well ending the game with 4 receptions for 76 yards and caught Goff’s lone touchdown. also looked to be more involved in the passing game as well finishing with 5 receptions for 56 yards to go alongside his less than impressive 19 carries for 40 yards rushing.
The Colts were wondering how life without would be and it was not pretty and that’s putting it nicely. got the start, but early on he struggled by throwing a pick six to on his first throw of the game. Tolzien would later throw a 2nd pick six to in the 3rd quarter and would be benched soon after for newly acquired . Rams defense jumped all over the Colts early and never let up finishing with 4 sacks, 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, 1 safety, and 2 touchdowns.
The biggest takeaways from this game were how comfortable Jared Goff looked and how well the Rams defense played (yes I know it was a Luck-less Colts) despite not playing after ending his holdout. Jared Goff is currently ranked 2nd in QB rating in Week 1 like everyone predicted only behind Alex Smith (cue the anything is possible Kevin Garnett gif). With the addition of a guy like to protect his blindside, Goff looked very poised and was able to get it to his new weapons of , , and Cooper Kupp early and often. We also got to see how much Andrew Luck will be missed while he’s out for who knows how long.

Carolina Panthers vs San Francisco 49ers
It’s safe to say that after a long offseason of whether or not should return to the 49ers or not, that he won’t be playing again. We won’t get into details, but he should be in the league no matter what. This game was never going to be close, from the moment this game was announced everybody knew that and the Panthers would demolish the team from East Bay.
Cam Newton did not look 100% healthy after offseason shoulder surgery, he was trying to work the kinks out of his arm after almost every throw. Seemingly like his arm was still somewhat hurting him. Running the ball will not help Cam get healthy, as he will continue to get clobbered if he tries to run. The Panthers do have a brand new shiny weapon in , who they showed off very nicely to the tune of 47 yards on the ground with 38 yards receiving.
